Daisy Liang is a friendly, out-going individual who values her family and
friends. She was first introduced to fashion through a textile course at high
school. Now, she is passionate about her chosen career -from the designing to
the construction to the merchandising.
Inspired by her mother, Daisy's goal is to strive to be her best. She
realized early that in order to achieve this goal, she needed to be very
dedicated and be willing to make difficult sacrifices. She has succeeded in
finding the right balance and in the process, has also learned that she is a
quick learner and very versatile.
At first, she was hesitant to compete in the Regional Skill competition, but
after being encouraged by her teacher to participate, she won her first medal.
Since then, she has never looked back -competing in the event has opened doors
and created many opportunities for her.
All her efforts have led her to represent Canada in Fashion Technology at the
2009 WorldSkills Competition in Calgary. She is eager to participate at the
Competition in Calgary and is working very hard to be successful.
"I want to learn more about
my trade and I want to learn more about myself. I want to know what my limits
are and I hope this Competition will help unravel and determine what I really
want in life. I also hope I win a medal."
Daisy loves everything about fashion and hopes her chosen career
will enable her to travel the world and meet interesting people. She is
currently finishing her final year of high school and is excited to move on to
achieve her career goals in the fashion industry.
