How did you get into the industry?
I enjoyed doing Metal
Work based subjects throughout High School so when I finished my HSC I got an
Apprenticeship in an engineering based trade.
Would you recommend a trade/skill based career to
others?
Yes, because you get hands on training whilst on the job and
you get paid to do it.
How has WorldSkills Australia helped you so far personally &
professionally?
Competing in the WorldSkills Competition has helped
me by furthering my skills in my chosen career path and hopefully will help me
in further career opportunities.
Would you recommend others participate in the WorldSkills
Competitions?
Yes, because it is good way to see how you perform
under pressure, as well as seeing how you compare to others in the same
trade.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Being able to use
the skills I learn as part of my job in everyday life.
What do you hope to achieve in both short and long terms of your
career?
I hope to be able to work in a position that I enjoy and
that is rewarding.
